The same year he retired from Microsoft, he purchased the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers for $2 billion.

He remains an Alphabet board member, employee, and controlling shareholder. He has also invested in flying car startups Kitty Hawk and Openair.
Page is the co-creator and namesake of PageRank, a search ranking algorithm for Google, for which he received a Marconi Award in 2004 with co-author Brin.
